MP Ali al-Sagri said on Saturday that one of the priorities of his work in the second legislative term in parliament is to pass the law abolishing the offices of public inspectors, noting that these offices have become the bulk of corruption.

"The priority of our work in the second legislative term is to pass the law abolishing the offices of public inspectors," Al-Sijeri said in an interview with Alsumaria News. "The law is ready for the first reading and then the second and then the vote is taken."

"The offices have become the biggest part of the corruption, which disrupts the work of ministries," he said, adding that "the corrupt began to protest against these offices."

"We are confident that the offices of the inspectors will be abolished," he said.

On November 24, the MP asked the alliance of parliamentarians to refer the proposed law to abolish the offices of the inspectors to the Finance Committee for its legislation, saying that the inspectors' offices became "an overburdened and corrupt link."
