Saleh welcomes the start of the new legislative term and calls for the completion of the legislation of the election law

On Saturday, the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, welcomed the start of the new legislative term by Parliament, calling for the completion of the election law legislation.
Saleh said in a statement received by the information: “We welcome the start of the new legislative chapter, and we call for the completion of the legislation of the election law, stressing the importance of the legislative institution’s role in meeting citizens’ living, security and health requirements, and ways to reduce the epidemic and economic repercussions of the Corona pandemic in the country. ”
Today, Saturday (September 05, 2020), the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Muhammad al-Halbousi, opened the works of the first session of the fourth parliamentary session of the third legislative year of the first legislative term.
