The two customs and border crossing authorities agreed, today, Tuesday, to enhance mutual cooperation and urge workers to "practice their work professionally and with integrity to raise the level of performance."
In a statement received by Mawazine News, the Customs Authority said, "The Director General of the General Customs Authority, Shaker Al-Zubaidi, visited the Border Ports Authority, and was received by the head of the authority, Major General Dr. Omar Adnan Al-Waeli."
The statement added, "The ways of development and success of work between the General Authority of Customs and the Border Ports Authority were discussed, as well as identifying all challenges and obstacles facing the workflow in customs centers and ways to address them."
Al-Zubaidi stressed, according to the statement, "the importance of joint cooperation and the exchange of information for the benefit of the country." He also stressed "the development of electronic work and linking programs between departments working in customs centers to prevent any manipulation or fraud, and to facilitate all procedures for importers."
The statement continued, "The two parties agreed to enhance mutual cooperation and urge all employees to practice their work professionally and with integrity to raise the level of performance in line with government directives and meet the needs of citizens." Ended 29/N33
