    Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani affirmed today, Tuesday, the federal government's commitment to the Iraqi constitution to address outstanding issues with the Kurdistan Regional Government in a way that guarantees the rights of all components.


    The media office of the Prime Minister said in a statement received by Alsumaria News, "Al-Sudani received, this morning, Tuesday, the President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Nechirvan Barzani, and his accompanying delegation."
     
    According to the statement, the Prime Minister expressed, at the outset of the meeting, his appreciation for the importance of unity of positions at the national level, and the need for solidarity and coordination, to face the economic, subsistence and service challenges required by the task of securing a decent life for all citizens throughout Iraq.





     
    He affirmed the federal government's commitment to the Iraqi constitution to address outstanding issues, with the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq, in a way that guarantees the rights of all components, according to the statement.
     
    For his part, Nechirvan Barzani congratulated the Prime Minister on the occasion of his government gaining confidence," expressing "optimism about the ability of the new government to move the country to a different stage, in which the language of understandings and solutions prevails."
     
    According to the statement, the meeting witnessed "discussions of the security file in the Iraqi border regions, where cooperation was emphasized to preserve Iraq's sovereignty, reject repeated violations, and work to prevent the use of Iraqi lands as a starting point for attacking any of the neighboring countries."
