Today, Wednesday, Minister of Agriculture Abbas Al-Alaywi set a date for paying all dues and debts of farmers and farmers for previous years, stressing that Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani personally followed up with the Ministry of Finance to allocate the necessary funds.
Al-Olayawi said, in a statement, that "next week will be the date for paying the full debts of farmers and farmers for the previous agricultural season 2021, in addition to disbursing the remaining dues and debts that were recycled from previous seasons."
He added, "This decision came based on the directives of the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani, and his emphasis on paying marketers' dues for the wheat crop, and with personal follow-up by him with the Ministry of Finance. The second installment of the emergency loan amounts has been received, which will be allocated to pay off all the aforementioned debts, in addition to securing agricultural supplies."
