[size=45]Mr. Faris Issa, head of the Kurdistan Regional Government representative in Baghdad, participated today, Saturday (5/6/2023), in the third Baghdad International Conference, which was held by the Ministry of Water Resources, under the auspices of the Prime Minister, “Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani.”[/size]
[size=45]A number of Iraqi government ministers, in addition to Arab and foreign ministers and ambassadors of different countries, as well as representatives of United Nations organizations present in Baghdad, attended the conference, which was held under the title (Water Scarcity, the Mesopotamian Marshes, Shatt al-Arab Environment, Everyone's Responsibility).[/size]
[size=45]During the conference, the water crisis in Iraq and the significant decrease in the levels of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers were discussed, and how to address them, and the need to work through diplomatic means with neighboring countries that have reduced the water share of Iraq, to increase water releases.[/size]
