Today, Sunday, Minister of Justice Khaled Shawani agreed with the Belgian Ambassador to Baghdad, Serge Gijkchen, on the legal and judicial fields and the exchange of convicts between the two countries.The Ministry of Justice stated in a statement, a copy of which was received by the 964 Network:
His Excellency the Minister of Justice received Dr. Khaled Shawani, today, Sunday, in his official office, His Excellency the Belgian Ambassador to Iraq and Jordan, Mr. Serge Gijkchen, and his accompanying delegation. During the meeting, the mechanisms for concluding a joint agreement in the legal and judicial fields and the exchange of convicts between the two countries were discussed.
Dr. confirmed. Shwani stressed the Ministry’s desire to develop the relationship between the Iraqi and Belgian Ministries of Justice and the necessity of strengthening it in a way that serves common interests and benefits from the expertise available to both sides.
[color:6fa0=rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)]For his part, Mr. Gekcen stressed his country's keenness for bilateral cooperation with Iraq in all fields for the sake of coordination, especially with regard to the exchange of legal and judicial expertise and convict exchange agreements between the two friendly countries.
