America weakens Baghdad...and increases Kurdistan's military capabilities
- Today 14:21
Information/Report
It seems that the Prime Minister’s visit to the United States of America did not free Iraq from the American grip, even relatively, whether at the military, economic, or political level.
It is unfortunate for an ancient country that built the first civilization in history that extends back more than eight thousand years to remain a hostage of this country that wants to erase this history by all means and return Iraq to the ages of darkness, backwardness and weakness.
Although Iraq possesses all the intellectual, financial and economic capabilities to emerge as the largest leading country in the region in various fields, America prevents this matter in line with its arbitrary policy in the world.
What increased this American determination to control Iraq was the valiant resistance that taught its forces a historical lesson that the Americans will not forget throughout the life of their “temporary” state, and the day will come when it and its Zionist progeny will end.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani left for the United States, on April 13, at the head of the largest high-ranking Iraqi delegation. During the visit, he met with US President Joe Biden and a number of officials to discuss a number of files, including the removal of foreign forces from Iraq, led by America.
The solid Iraqi position on the Palestinian issue has raised America's level of fear of Iraq, which is why it is seeking with everything it has to weaken it and prevent the expansion of its military power, especially in the field of armament and self-defense.
The most important armament resource is air defense systems, which Iraq does not possess, and America stands in the way of possessing them, in addition to other weapons that can secure its lands and skies from attacks issued by America and its allies.
Security expert Haitham Al-Khazali confirmed that America refuses to provide Iraq with important arms contracts, such as advanced air defense systems, or to obtain them from other countries.
Al-Khazali told Al-Maalouma, “The Americans, since the occupation of Iraq and the decision to dissolve the previous Iraqi army, have deliberately contributed to limiting the armament of the Iraqi army to the dilapidated and outdated American armament system, especially with regard to the air force.”
He added, "Over the course of successive governments, the American veto on the trend towards diversifying sources of armament was in place, as it was one of the failures of the Russian SS-400 air defense system deal that was concluded during the Maliki era."
He called on the Sudanese government to "continue to exert pressure to break away from American hegemony and move toward diversifying the armament of the Iraqi army to preserve its security and sovereignty."
A source in the National Security Advisory confirmed that Russia expressed its readiness to cooperate with Iraq in the field of cybersecurity, technologies, and armament that Iraq and its security and military forces need.
Not only that, but America seeks to tear apart Iraq by granting the Kurdistan region advanced air defense weapons in exchange for withholding them from Baghdad.
A previous report by the Middle East Network revealed that the US Department of Defense, the Pentagon, has begun preparations to transfer a group of air defense systems in preparation for their delivery to the Peshmerga forces in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
He added, "The Armed Forces Service Committee in the US Congress decided to grant the Peshmerga forces in Iraq a set of air defense systems despite the opposition of the Ministry of Defense, which said it saw the systems as 'of great value and needed.'
The committee told the network that it had informed the US administration of its readiness to implement the plan to support the Peshmerga, which includes arming and training them to use modern systems, noting that the aim of the plan is to provide the possibility of confronting the aircraft that are constantly bombing the region, as described by Republican Congressman Don Bacon.
It is noteworthy that the US administration had previously rejected an Iraqi request to purchase modern air defense systems before intervening to prevent the Iraqi government from obtaining the Russian S-400 systems as an alternative, according to previous reports. Ended 25 AD
