    Today, Thursday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani stressed the need to end the problem of triple-shift schools, while he directed that a monthly evaluation be conducted by the Ministry of Planning to indicate the progress of work completion in school buildings.
    The Prime Minister’s Media Office stated in a statement received by Al-Iqtisad News, “Al-Sudani chaired the meeting of the Ministry of Education’s project committee for school buildings No. (1), which includes the establishment of 1,751 schools throughout Iraq, in the presence of the ministers of planning, finance, education, industry and minerals.” , as well as officials from a number of concerned departments,” indicating that “the progress of work in the project, and the details of the obstacles and challenges facing completion, were reviewed by representatives of government agencies and representatives of private sector companies, who have been entrusted with projects for school buildings, which are still under completion.” .
    Al-Sudelni reviewed “the completion rates and the most important obstacles that caused the project to delay for more than ten years.”
    The Prime Minister described "the delay as a loss by various standards, and therefore the decision and will required to resolve this file must proceed," stressing the necessity of "ending the problem of three-day schools, as it is a priority in the file of services that touch the lives of citizens."
    The Prime Minister listened to "a presentation of the most important files of the project presented by the ministers present at the meeting, and directed that all appropriate measures and steps be taken to resolve the obstacles and complete the project, according to a specific timetable."
    He directed, “to conduct a monthly evaluation by the Ministry of Planning to show the progress of work, in addition to holding another meeting with the lagging companies, after the evaluation and implementation of the recommendations, and for the meeting to be reconvened within two months, in the presence of all concerned departments and institutions, to see what has been implemented.”
