    Shafaq News/ The Federal Integrity Commission announced on Saturday the implementation of the arrest warrant issued against the Director of the International Development Bank - Maysan Branch. Against the backdrop of charges of embezzling billions of dinars from the bank.
    Speaking about the operation, the Authority’s Government Information and Communications Office stated that cooperation and coordination between the Authority and the Intelligence Agency resulted in the arrest of the director of the International Development Bank - Maysan branch in the capital, Baghdad, and the implementation of the arrest warrant issued against him, based on the provisions of Article (315) of the Penal Code. .
    The Information Office continued, referring to the details of the case, that the Director of the International Development Bank - Maysan Branch embezzled an amount of (6,771,010,000) Iraqi dinars from the bank in conjunction with its female storyteller, in addition to his collusion with the Assistant Director of the International Development Bank - Maysan Branch and two employees working in the capacity of " "Treasurer" in the branch, who proceeded to withdraw (3,385,000,000) Iraqi dinars from the fortified storeroom and handed them over to unknown persons.
    The authority had announced the day before yesterday, Thursday, that its staff in Maysan Governorate were able to implement the arrest warrant issued against the Assistant Director of the International Development Bank branch in the governorate and two employees there. On charges of embezzling more than three and a quarter billion dinars.
    Yesterday, Friday, an official security source reported the arrest of a bank official on charges of financial embezzlement west of the capital, Baghdad.
    The source told Shafaq News Agency, that after receiving information about the presence of one of the defendants wanted according to Article (315) of the Penal Code in the Al-Mansour area in the capital, Baghdad, and he is the general manager of one of the branches of the Development Bank, a work team was immediately formed from the security forces.
    The source explained, "After investigating and gathering information, the accused was arrested and detained based on a complaint submitted by the Maysan Court of Appeal for Public Rights."
    Article 315 of the effective Iraqi Penal Code stipulates the following: (Any public employee or person charged with a public service who embezzles or conceals money, property, a document proving a right, or anything else found in his possession) shall be punished with imprisonment.
