[ltr]Crude oil prices fell on Monday on world markets.[/ltr]
[ltr]The price of Brent crude fell to the nearest month maturity 12 cents to $ 41.08 in Asian morning trade.[/ltr]
[ltr]The price of US crude fell 40 cents, or 1% to $ 39.04 a barrel.[/ltr]
[ltr]Prices had risen during the last two months after the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries "OPEC" floated the idea of freezing production at the levels of last January.[/ltr]
[ltr]The current slight decline is attributable caused, in the eyes of analysts, to renewed fears of an oversupply after the rise in the number of oil rigs in the United States for the first time since December. Ended 29/42 g[/ltr]
