Bahrain's Ahli United Bank increases its stake in the Commercial Bank of Iraq

Dubai's first August (Reuters) - Ahli United Bank increased largest bank in Bahrain stake in Commercial Bank of Iraq to 64.71 percent.
The bank said in a notice to the Bahrain Stock Exchange without elaborating that he bought a stake of ten percent of the shares of Commercial Bank of Iraq.
A statement issued by the Iraqi Stock Exchange on Thursday that the share of Ahli United Bank in the Commercial Bank of Iraq amounted to 64.71 percent after the Bahraini bank bought an additional 25 billion shares in Bank of Iraq. The statement the price paid by Ahli United Bank for the purchase of shares did not say.
The price of shares Close TBI 0.43 dinars on Thursday, which makes the value of the share of ten percent of about 10.75 billion dinars ($ 9.20 million).
Ahli United Bank acquired a stake of 49 percent in the Commercial Bank of Iraq in December 2005, according to its website.
Iraq and next to Ahli United Bank operates in Kuwait, Egypt, Libya, Oman and Britain.
