Have you ever thought about the cost of Christmas? I’m not talking about the cost when the credit card bills come in January. I’m talking about the cost of God sending His only Son to save us. The cost of the Lord Jesus leaving His throne in heaven to come to this earth as a baby born of a virgin. When you think of the first Christmas, think of what Jesus gave up to come into poverty. The Bible says he was “despised and rejected by man, a man of sorrows acquainted with grief.” He was born to die—to be the sacrifice for my sins and yours. God willingly sent His Son on a rescue mission for mankind. This Christmas consider God’s incredible love shown by the great price He paid to redeem you—and thank Him!
