    The Iraqi Transport Minister Kazem al - Hammami said in a press statement, "The European Aviation Safety Agency lifted a ban on the entry of Iraqi Airways European airspace," adding that he "was raised by Iraqi Airways from the blacklist was placed under surveillance by the European Aviation Safety Agency" . 
    Europe banned, Iraq 's national carrier from flying in the skies of Europe in 2015, due to lack of responsiveness to the criteria for the safety of the International Organization of Civil Aviation.

" 
    he pointed Saadi he briefed on" the recent decision Aloaasa issued on December 8, 2016, and Iraqi listed number three on the list of the European ban , which included 193 airline. " 
    He continued, " the next revision of the list of the European ban will be in June 2017 , and Iraq is still present on the block list nor the health to be removed from the Start menu, and these mechanisms are usually documented and we have no knowledge of any new document issued by Alayasa benefit the Iraqi lifting of the block list." 
    In the meantime, the Swedish authorities decided to suspend flights between Sweden and Iraq for security reasons.  
    The agency said the Swedish transport, in a communication to her, "This prohibition includes all airlines organize direct flights between Sweden and Iraq." 
    The Swedish Transport Agency confirmed that it had received "information that the security situation in Iraq pose a threat to flights."
