Al-Sayhoud on Postponing Parliament Sessions: Bad Start for Al-Mashhadani
• Today 12:57

Information / Baghdad..
The head of the Ajyal parliamentary bloc, MP Mohammed Al-Sayhoud, considered, on Saturday, that the start of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, was an unsuccessful start, due to the delay in holding the sessions of the House.
Al-Sayhoud said in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency, "Unfortunately, the beginning of the work of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, was an unsuccessful beginning, as we had hoped that he would call the council to convene and settle the controversial laws, especially since the council had extended its legislative term for a full month."
He added, "The House of Representatives will begin holding its sessions after the twenty-second of this month, after the completion of the general population census."
Al-Sayhoud called on the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the political blocs to "put the issue of voting on amending the personal status and general amnesty laws at the top of the agenda of the next session, as well as the popular salaries and retirement law."
It is noteworthy that the Presidency of the House of Representatives decided, last Thursday, to extend the legislative session for 30 days, starting from November 9 of this month. End/25M
