    Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, issued a general amnesty for the escapee security elements or who joint terrorist groups.
    Iraqiya Satellite Channel quoted Maliki as saying “We issued a comprehensive amnesty for the security elements who escaped the service or who are absent from the units and those who joint the terrorist groups.”
    According to the Channel “Maliki ordered to distribute financial assistance among the families of the police martyrs and expressed his gratitude for the security commanders who lead the Martyr Revenge Operation.”

    Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The office of the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, corrected a mistake in Maliki’s statement to the journalists on Wednesday concerning the general amnesty that he issued for the police and army elements who escaped the service.
    A statement by Maliki’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “The mistake is that he said the amnesty involves those who joint terrorist groups while the intended are those whose absentees exceeded the limits.”
