Immigration announces the return of hundreds of Iraqi refugees in Turkey to their country
BAGHDAD - Iraq's Ministry of Displacement and Migration said on Friday it had received hundreds of Iraqi refugees returning from Turkey.
The Director of the Department of the provinces of the Kurdistan Region, Juan Mahmoud, said in a press statement that "within the program of voluntary return free provided by the Ministry for those wishing to return voluntarily from Turkey and through the road in cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs represented by the Iraqi consulate in Turkey transferred about (347) Iraqi citizens in Turkey were They are returning from the provinces of Ankara, Istanbul, Skariya, Samsun, Sivas and Gaziantep to their country of Iraq. "
She pointed out that "cadres of the Ministry's representative in Erbil and Dahuk received them and allocated buses to take them home after checking their names in the database of security agencies."
The ministry announced in February this year through its office in the Iraqi embassy in the Turkish capital (Ankara) the opening of registration for Iraqi citizens in Turkey and wishing to return voluntarily to the country free of charge. Finished
