    Foreign Ministry announced, on Sunday, they discussed with Russia to open a direct air route between Baghdad and Moscow and the abolition of visas for diplomats.
    The Foreign Ministry said in a statement received (range) a copy of it, that " the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Russia, Haidar Mansour Athari, discussed with the President of the Chamber of Commerce of the Russian Federation Sergey Katebran in the capital Moscow, bilateral relations and means of developing them in the commercial and industrial fields."
    The Iraqi ambassador expressed "support for the business, and that the main objectives of the mission, is to raise the level of cooperation between the two countries , " explaining that " the role of the embassy is coordination between the institutions and companies Iraqi and Russian counterparts."
    Athari pointed out that " the diplomatic body 's efforts are currently focused on ways to accelerate the opening of a direct air route between Baghdad and Moscow, in addition to the signing of an agreement between the two governments for the abolition of visas for the campaign of diplomatic passports and service as a first stage and then business as a second stage, or give them multiple visas window for three or five Years".
    He stressed Iraq 's ambassador to Moscow that such a move would "greatly contribute to providing a favorable environment for cooperation between the two countries."
    For his part, President of the Chamber of Commerce of the Russian Federation Katebran, that "the Russian business and Russian companies are many projects in the past, but because of the security conditions experienced by Iraq made these companies lose a lot of their investments."
    The President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce to " the desire of Russian companies and businessmen to return and work in the Iraqi market."
