MOSUL — The Iraqi Air Force announced in a statement on Monday the destruction of the Islamic State (IS) explosives factory in Hawija city in western Kirkuk province.
The Iraqi war jets successfully targeted on Monday an IS factory for producing explosives and preparing car bombs in Hawija which resulted in the complete destruction of the factory, said the Iraqi Air Force.
The air strikes also dismantled the main store for gunpowder materials and the destruction of large quantities of explosives inside the store.
In addition to the destruction of the facilities, the air raid resulted in the killing of 10 militants as well as the destruction of an anti-aircraft machine gun along with two vehicles belonging to the militant group.
