The government index of industrial purchasing managers in China fell to 51.4 in July from 51.7 in June.
Industrial PMI was expected to slow to 51.6 in July.
On the other hand, the non-manufacturing PMI was at 54.5, up from 54.9 last month.
The 50-point PMI is the line between growth and contraction.
