Israel cancels accreditation of Al-Jazeera journalists and decides to close the channel's offices

Israeli Communications Minister Ayoub Qara announced on Sunday that his country had canceled the accreditation of its Qatari-owned Al-Jazeera journalists and was working to close the channel's offices.
"Israel has decided to cancel the accreditation of Al Jazeera journalists and to close the offices of the channel," Qara said, according to Al Jazeera television.
"We have based our decision on the establishment of Sunni Arab countries to close the offices of the island and to prohibit its work, and we ask broadcasters to cancel the broadcast of Al-Jazeera."
