The substance was used in improvised explosive devices by terrorists during attacks in London in 2005 and Paris in 2015, Brussels in 2016 and Manchester in 2017. On Thursday, Catalonia witnessed a series of terrorist attacks. A small truck ran over a crowd in the Catalan capital of Barcelona. A few hours later another attempt was made in the town of Cambrils, south of Barcelona, ​​which was thwarted by the police at the beginning.
