Dead and wounded in tribal conflict north of Dhi Qar

The head of the city of Shatrah north of the city of Nasiriyah Abdul Amir al-Tai told «Journal News» that an armed clash broke out between the two clans resulted in dead and wounded.
"The dispute took place late on Sunday between the clan of al-Sadiq al-Bougnaima and the Bani Khikan tribe, which resulted in the injury of six people and the killing of three people in the clash caused by the conflict on land," al-Taie said.
"The security forces have combed the area to stop the conflict and bring the culprits to the Iraqi judiciary and confiscate the illegal weapons to prevent the return of the dispute again or renew it at any time from Monday's day," al-Taie said.
He said that there are very large security efforts being made to stop the bleeding of blood and to work to deter violence and renewed conflicts among tribes where the use of weapons is the solution away from the state and the law.
