The Pentagon has said that locating and securing nuclear weapons in North Korea requires the invasion of the communist country by ground forces.

In a letter to US politicians, the Pentagon said that in the event of a conflict with Pyongyang, North Korea may have advanced the use of biological and chemical weapons.

The letter presents a picture of possible scenarios if a conflict between North Korea and the United States breaks out, especially as tensions between Washington and Pyongyang have increased dramatically.

US President Donald Trump said on more than one occasion that his country was determined to deal with the threat of North Korea and, in a speech at the UN headquarters, said North Korea was completely destroyed, "if Washington had to defend itself or its allies."

In the meantime, North Korea went ahead with its military ambitions, continued ballistic testing, threatened to hit the Pacific island of Guam in the Western Pacific and tested a missile over northern Japan.

The Pentagon document states that the chemical weapons program in North Korea is capable of producing nerve gases and "flammable" ones that generate pimples as well as blood gases.

She added that the Pentagon's extensive discussion on how to respond to North Korea's threat would not be presented to the public and would remain confidential, given the sensitivity of the military order.

"The decision to launch an attack or invasion of North Korea will have consequences for American forces and taxpayers and will have repercussions for the region for decades," said Admiral Michael Demont.

Congressmen Ted Leo and Robin Gallego wrote in a letter to Congress that they had not received analyzes of the alleged toll of US military and civilian casualties in the event of confrontation with the United States.

The Pentagon believes that estimating potential losses is not easy. It depends mainly on the nature of the North Korean attack, its intensity and the time it will take for thousands to reach their sanctuaries in South Korea. Finished
