A source close to the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government Nizhrvan Barzani said on Monday that the latter informed the President of the Republic Fuad Masum ready to accept the implementation of the conditions of the federal government.
The source, who preferred not to be named, said the technical delegations that exchanged the visit in the past few days and the contacts between Baghdad and Erbil were close to reaching a conclusion on ending the crisis.
He added that Kurdistan Regional Government President Nechervan Barzani told President Fuad Masum that he was ready to accept the initiative he put forward to resolve the crisis with Baghdad and implement the conditions of the federal government and that there is also a retreat in the position and conditions of Prime Minister Haider Abadi.
"The crisis is on the way to a solution, and the issue of border crossings will be determined by technical delegations, which will resume their work in the coming days."
