16 people listed on North Korea sanctions list[/rtl]

The European Union on Monday listed 16 people and one entity in North Korea as a list of sanctions subject to a freeze on assets and a travel ban under UN Security Council Resolution 2397.
"The Security Council resolution adopted on 22 December 2017 in response to North Korea's nuclear and ballistic missile activities is in stark defiance of previous UN Security Council resolutions," the EU said in a statement.
In addition to one entity representing North Korea's Ministry of Armed Forces, they were added to the list of sanctions, bringing the number of people to 79, 54 according to the UN list, as well as 41 people and 10 entities, according to the EU alone.
The EU has proposed additional sanctions on North Korea in the coming weeks
