    A high-level meeting of experts on Iraq's reconstruction program and the role of funding institutions will begin on Monday at the Kuwait International Conference on Iraq Reconstruction. 
    The opening session of the meeting will be attended by the Director General of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development Abdulwahab Al-Bader, the Secretary General of the Iraqi Council of Ministers Mahdi Al-Alaq and the Head of the Fund for the Reconstruction of the Areas Affected by Operations, the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported in a report. In addition to the Director General of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development Abdullatif Al-Hamad. 
    Iraqi Planning Minister Salman al-Jumaili will review the reform program of the Iraqi government during the meeting, while the Secretary General of the Iraqi Council of Ministers Mehdi Alalak will present a detailed presentation of the reform programs in Iraq.
    The meeting also looks at plans for recovery and reconstruction of Iraq's affected areas, funding needs, loss and needs assessments, reconstruction activities in the liberated areas and the social dimension of reconstruction and social rehabilitation in those areas. 
    During the meeting, the meeting will discuss the humanitarian dimension of reconstruction, governance and accountability as well as the recovery and peaceful coexistence, as well as the role of international development institutions in the reconstruction and the role of Arab aid in this regard. 
    The discussions will also focus on the German credit mechanism to support the return of internally displaced persons in Iraq and the role of the Japanese Agency for International Development (USAID) in supporting reconstruction in Iraq and liberated areas, as well as the Islamic Development Bank's vision of supporting reconstruction in Iraq.
    The Iraqi reconstruction conference will be held from February 12 to 14, with the participation of a number of donor countries and international and regional organizations, and will be headed by five parties (Kuwait, Iraq, the European Union, the United Nations and the World Bank).
