(Baghdad: Al-Furat News) The first session of the International Conference on Iraq Reconstruction held here for the period from 12 to 14 February and the level of experts started in Kuwait.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Planning Salman Jumaili, Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers Mahdi Al-Alaq and President of the Iraqi Fund for Reconstruction Mustafa Al-Hiti, and the Kuwaiti side attended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Fund for Economic Development -
The session witnessed a number of speeches that spoke about the importance of the conference and the role of the international community in supporting the efforts of the Iraqi government in the reconstruction and development in Iraq. A press release reported by the Information Office of the Ministry of Planning.
Planning Minister Salman Jumaili said during the first session of the conference that the Iraqi people are waiting for the international community to support the reconstruction after the courageous stand of this people in confronting and defeating terrorism and protecting the world from its danger.
He pointed out that the conditions are ripe for launching reconstruction operations in the framework of the plan set by the Iraqi government for this purpose, which lasted 10 years from 2018-2027, "pointing out that" the important aspect in achieving development is the existence of many investment opportunities available in all areas, "calling global companies To "benefit from these opportunities."
