    The Kuwait conference of donors for the reconstruction of Iraq began Monday with the participation of hundreds of countries and international and regional organizations, which will continue until Wednesday.
    The meeting will be opened by the Director General of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, Abdulwahab Al-Bader, with the participation of Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers Mahdi Al-Alaq, President of the Reconstruction Fund for Iraq's Affected Areas Mustafa Al-Hiti and the Director General of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development.
    This will be followed by a session on the reform program of the Government of Iraq, headed by Minister of Planning Salman Jumaili, and will talk about the government's plans for recovery, reconstruction and funding needs, as well as peaceful coexistence, appreciation of losses and needs, and the activities of the Reconstruction Fund in areas liberated from the Da'ash organization. 
    A panel discussion on the social dimension of the reconstruction of liberated areas and a discussion session on the human dimension of reconstruction in Iraq, with the participation of the EU Commission, the International Committee of the Red Cross, the French Development Agency and a session on governance and accountability, "Audrey Azoulay, and the representative of the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development Bogman Hagdron.
    The role of the international development institutions in the reconstruction of Iraq, the role of Arab aid in the reconstruction of the affected areas, the German credit mechanism to support the internally displaced in Iraq, and the role of the Japanese Development Agency in supporting the reconstruction of Iraq and the liberated areas.     The conference will focus on the latest developments in the humanitarian situation in Iraq and the humanitarian response efforts in the country. The conference will discuss the declaration of pledges to support the humanitarian situation in Iraq for the year 2018, as well as the mechanisms and facilities to be provided by the Iraqi government to the contracting organizations.
    The second day of the conference will be held on Tuesday, Tuesday, under the patronage of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry, on the environment for private sector participation in the reconstruction of Iraq.     The last day (Wednesday) will witness the arrival and participation of international delegates.
