    [rtl]"The balance of power in Syria is radically changing in favor of Damascus," said US intelligence chief Dan Coates. "The   so-called" opposition "can no longer overthrow Syrian President Bashar Assad"He said.[/rtl]

    [rtl]"The balance of power on the ground is radically changing for the benefit of the government," Coates said in a speech to the congressional intelligence committee. "This allowed Russia and Iran to establish their positions in Syria." He said that the so-called "opposition" can not, in light of its setbacks on the ground, change this situation"He said.[/rtl]

    [rtl]On the other hand, the Director of National Intelligence accused Russia of intervening in the midterm elections this year, saying that "the United States is under attack" by Moscow, which wants to "undermine the political process in America"He said.[/rtl]

    [rtl]On North Korea's threats, Coates warned that North Korea's nuclear program was a "potential existential threat" to Washington, but also to Pyongyang, whose leader Kim Jong-un said "any effort to abandon his nuclear weapons is an existential threat to his country and his leadership."He said.[/rtl]
