[ltr]Foreign Minister meets with the President of the United Nations Mission in Iraq[/ltr]

[ltr]Met with Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari in the headquarters of the ministry November 11, 2013 Mr. Nikolai miles دينوف of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General and head of the UN mission (UNAMI) in Iraq. [/ltr]

During the meeting, they discussed the most important issues of common interest between Iraq and the United Nations, through the minister expressed appreciation for the efforts undertaken by the international mission to help all parties to reach an agreement and approval of the Law of the next parliamentary elections in 2014, stressing the importance of efforts to conduct a census of the country, that it will contribute to solving a lot of controversial issues. Also addressed the meeting to talk about the evolution of the relationship with neighboring countries and the integration of Iraq with its surroundings, as well as the results of the recent visit of Turkish Foreign Minister to Baghdad for the normalization of political and diplomatic relations between the two countries in the light of the road map has been agreed upon between the parties. [/ltr]

The meeting also reviewed international efforts to hold a conference Geneva 2 for peace in order to reach a peaceful solution to end the crisis in Syria.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Undersecretary for Legal Affairs and multilateral Mr. Chairman of the Department of Europe and the Director of the Bureau.
