    (Baghdad: Al Furat News) kicked off Wednesday evening, competitions of the International Friendship Championship, which brings together the teams of Iraq, Qatar and Syria, in the city of Basra sports.
    The national team will draw the title of the tournament against the Qatari Annabi at 7 pm today, amid the expectation of the presence of a mass rally coinciding with a public holiday on the occasion of the Norouz holidays. 
    The Syrian arbitration team consists of international players Taher Bakkar, Ahmad Al-Maloud and Abdullah Kanaan. 
    The tournament will be held from March 21 to 28 and comes after FIFA's decision last Friday to lift the international ban on Basra, Karbala and Erbil. 
    The tournament will be completed next Saturday when the Qatari team meets his Syrian counterpart and will conclude on March 27 with Iraq and Syria. All matches will be played at 7:00 pm at Basra International Stadium. 
    The missions of the three teams were completed and they had morning and evening mornings in preparation for the tournament. 
    The coaches of the participating teams agreed on the importance of the tournament and it was an opportunity to find out the level of their teams.
    During the technical press conference held yesterday in the presence of his Iraqi and Qatari counterparts, Syrian coach Bernand Stang said: "I am very happy to return to Iraq again after a long absence and this time through the gate of the Syrian team." 
    As for Qatar coach, this tournament is a good opportunity to be in Iraq and we hope to play games at a high level. 
    While the national team coach Bassem Qassim praised the Syrian and Qatari teams for their players with high technical skills and the Qatar match, Kassem said that the game will be fair and difficult to predict its outcome.
    In the technical conference, the teams' shirts were fixed during the tournament, where Iraq will play in its first match today, the white dress while wearing Qatar color Annabi and in the second game will play Syria in red and Qatar in white clothes and in the final game Iraq will play in white and Syria in red.

    The Yemeni Football Federation (YF) President Ahmad Al-Eissa presented his apology to Iraq for not participating in the International Friendship Championship which kicked off Wednesday evening in the sports city of Basra.
    Al-Issa said in a speech to his Iraqi counterpart Abdul-Khaliq Masoud received by the agency of all Iraq [where] a copy of it, "I wish you the best regards and wish you success and success in your noble missions, and at the outset we are pleased to congratulate you on the lifting of the ban on the Iraqi football and stadiums in cities [ Basra, Karbala and Erbil], looking forward to the issuance of the decision of FIFA to lift the ban completely from the rest of the cities, especially the capital Baghdad. "
