A member of the Finance Committee: the banking sector need an independent body dealing with its affairs and the evolution of his work

Baghdad (news) .. Suggested that a member of the Finance Committee MP / coalition in Iraq / Hassan Auzmn Bayati, the establishment of a supreme body independent concerned with the affairs of banks and the evolution of its work according to the technological modern banking. Bayati said (of the Agency news): despite calls continued by specialists for the development of the banking sector, but the sector is still backward and works by traditional methods old, and his work for Ayuakp evolution in global banks.added: that Alqqtaa banking in dire need of the formation of the independent Supreme concerned him and encourages him to use the latest techniques used in the banking industry, and is working to organize its work and monitoring, calling for new legislation authorizes the establishment of this body and stimulates the local banks to develop their work. mentioned that the banking system in Iraq consists of forty-three banks as well as the Central Bank and distributed by ownership between (7) state banks and (30) Bank Ahli including (7) Islamic banks in addition to (6 ) foreign banks.
