KUWAIT: Kuwait has decided to grant Iraq $ 100 million to support the health sector, Kuwait's ambassador to Baghdad, Salim Ghasab al-Zamanan, has announced.

Al-Zamanan said in a press statement: "A number of programs have been approved by the funds allocated in cooperation with the Reconstruction Fund for Iraq, and there are seven health centers will be rehabilitated within the programs of this grant."

He added: "The programs of the Kuwait grant allocated to support the health sector has not been initiated, and this is done through cooperation with the Reconstruction Fund for Iraq."

"Iraq has been handed over three mobile medical clinics, provided by the Kuwaiti Red Crescent Society, as part of Kuwait's efforts to support the process of stabilizing the displaced," Zawamanan said.

"We had previous efforts to supply some provinces with ambulances and small mobile medical clinics. We also have efforts to rehabilitate some health centers and provide IDP camps in Salahaddin, Ninewa, Diyala and Anbar."
