    Japan and Iraq signed a memorandum of exchange for the development of the electricity sector through the activation of the third phase of the project to rebuild the electricity sector , funded by the Japanese loan worth $ 728 million. 

    The government source confirmed that Japan expressed its willingness to offer a new loan for Iraq worth $ 450 million to support the electricity sector. 
    A statement by the Information Office of the Prime Minister Haider al - Abadi received (range Press), a copy of it, that "Iraq and Japan signed a mutual notes and minutes of discussions between the Government of the Republic of Iraq , Japan and the Government relating to loan the reconstruction of the electricity sector , the third phase . " The statement added that "the Prime Minister Haider al - Abadi a Japanese official and a delegation headed by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Quintaroa Sonoaor attended the ceremony of signing the notes , "noting that" the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance , Mr. Fadhil Nabi Othman , was signed by the Iraqi side and the Japanese side , the Japanese ambassador Fumioa yuai. " 
    On the other hand, said in a statement the Japanese Embassy in Baghdad, received a (long) a copy of it yesterday, " The project aims to restore Iraq 's ability to power a stable supply through the rehabilitation of boilers, turbines and generators for the unity of the four units of the plant Hartha power which is one of the the largest power plants in Basra. " 
    The embassy said that " the Government of Japan has provided a loan of about US $ 171 million to rebuild the unity of the Fourth Station Hartha , " indicating that "in this Alparwa, will be installed substations in Baghdad capacity of 132 kilovolts and will buy mobile stations alternative capacity of 132 kV and 33 kV in Anbar. " 
    He noted the Japanese Embassy statement that " the third - phase project is for the project to rebuild the electricity sector , funded by the loan Aliapana, which was signed two stages in a row in April 2007 and May 2015 of 728 million dollars," noting that "early recovery for the distribution of energy a matter of urgency in the provinces damaged the infrastructure of electricity by Daesh gangs, it is expected that the project will contribute to improving the qualification levels and provide the electricity grid and to promote social and economic stability in Iraq. "

" 
    Turn Musab teacher, a spokesman for the Ministry of Electricity, said (range) that "Iraq and Japan signed earlier contracts for the development of the electricity sector by providing us with spare parts for the maintenance of power stations and the establishment of mobile stations , " adding that "Iraq has agreed with Japan to create Okasha station Anbar 120 MW watt card after the restoration of the security situation. " 
    He pointed out that the teacher " of electric power projects with Japan will lead to the assignment of the electrical system , " noting that " the production of the electric sector today is 16 thousand megawatts." 
    The Ministry of Electricity has confirmed, earlier, he said that " the development of the electrical system in the past few days is not realistic compared to their ability , " noting that " the complexity of the national lines with private generators , and changes in weather forecasters lines are causing stopped nutrients." 
     She explained the Ministry of Electricity to "engineering and technical staffs asses and work continuously after coordination with meteorological processing nutrients and returned to duty , " adding that " the ministry included all areas of the capital project investment of electric power, in addition to the provinces, and there are Arab and foreign companies in the process of hiring and referral to implement this project".
