A security official said on Monday that his country had succeeded in including Iraqi entities and individuals on the United Nations sanctions list in preparation for freezing their assets.
"The UN Security Council's sanctions committee on terrorist and al Qaeda-linked gangs has agreed to add a company and two Iraqis to the UN sanctions list for individuals and private entities," the official said, according to international news agencies.
Accordingly, Al-Kawthar Financial Brokerage Company and its owner Omar Mohammed Rahim Al-Kubaisi were listed on the list, along with Salim Mustafa Al-Mansour, known as Salem Al-Afri, according to the same source.
