    The Directorate of Public Traffic on Monday lifted a large number of concrete barriers and the opening of a number of closed roads in the capital in cooperation and coordination with the Baghdad Operations Command.

    The director of relations and information in the Directorate Colonel Dr. Muayed Khalil Salman, said that "the campaign carried out by the staff working in the Directorate and in coordination with the Baghdad Operations Command included the lifting of a large number of concrete barriers and stoppages and the opening of a number of secondary and main roads on both sides of Karkh and Rusafa in Baghdad.


    He pointed out that "the roads that were reopened on the side of Rusafa included streets in the secondary alleys 
    of the Sulaikh and Cairo areas overlooking the main public streets as well as the opening of the street overlooking 
    the Canal Street towards Safi al-Din ornaments and towards the city bridge, in addition to the opening of all 
    roads leading to Palestine Street and the opening of a street Arboretum towards the white cinema in addition to the 
    opening of streets and roads leading to the internal branches of the whole new Baghdad area.

     
    He pointed out that in the "side of Karkh reopened the streets located within the main road 
    between 14 Ramadan Street towards the pioneers in the area of ​​Mansour," pointing out that "the purpose of opening these 
    roads is to alleviate the overcrowding in the streets of Baghdad and find alternative ways to walk vehicles.


    He stressed that "the campaign was under the direct supervision of the director of the Directorate General Amer Saddam and his two deputies 
    and directors of Karkh and Rusafa who had a special role in coordination with the Baghdad Operations Command to open these 
    roads.
