The Arab leaders have sent a strong message to US President Donald Trump's representatives on a plan he has prepared, saying they could "destabilize the region as a whole."
The Israeli newspaper Ha'aretz reported the parallels of the discussions and negotiations held by the representatives of Trump, Jared Kouchner and Jason Greenblatt on the settlement of the Palestinian issue, the so-called "century deal".
The Haaretz newspaper quoted Palestinian officials as saying that discussions with some Arab leaders included sending strong messages to the United States and Trump that any peace plan in the Middle East did not meet Palestinian expectations could destabilize the region as a whole.
He called on Arab leaders to refrain from revealing all the details and details of the "plan of the century," according to Palestinian officials told the Hebrew newspaper.
"The representatives of the Arab countries warned members of the American delegation that the repercussions of revealing the plan of the century may be disastrous for the entire Middle East," a senior official said.
"Arab leaders also told the American administration that their countries are dealing with domestic challenges no less dangerous than the war in Syria or Iranian interference in the region," he said.
"Egypt, for example, faces many internal challenges as well as combating terrorism in the Sinai. Jordan is also dealing with many difficulties on the domestic front. The consequences of the war in Syria do not simplify things for it."
"Saudi Arabia faces various challenges in terms of the war on Yemen, the confrontation with Iranian influence, the announcement of the century plan without Jerusalem and without the right of return of refugees. It will be an earthquake that will undermine the stability of the region as a whole.
The Israeli newspaper Ha'aretz published a report written by prominent Israeli writer and analyst Tzipi Bariel, quoting sources she described as "Arab negotiators" on the "deal of the century", which Kouchner is preparing to "bring peace to the Middle East" Said that Egypt insisted in that deal that "East Jerusalem" is the capital of the State of Palestine.
The "Deal of the Century" is based on the Palestinians' acceptance of Abu Dis as the capital of their state instead of East Jerusalem, in return for Israel's withdrawal from some 5 villages and Arab neighborhoods in East Jerusalem and its north, to become the Old City in the hands of the Israeli government. That the Palestinian state would be without an army and demilitarized without any heavy weapons, in addition to the formation of an economic plan for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.
