    BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Iraq's ambassador to Syria, Saad Mohammad Reza, said on Tuesday that Iraq and Syria had been subjected to a despicable plot but were able to thwart it, while revealing the imminent signing of a strategic cooperation agreement between Iraq and Syria.

    Reza said according to the Syrian news agency that "Iraq has counted 120 nationality among the terrorists of the organization calling and that this shows that the plot is large and intended to tear apart the two countries and their secret," noting that "Iraq almost ended the existence of a terrorist organization in the country."

    Reza added that "the strategic cooperation agreement between Iraq and Syria, which will be signed soon will contribute to the promotion and development of all aspects of bilateral political, economic, trade and security," stressing that "Iraq is determined to revive the Iraqi Parliamentary Friendship Association Syrian after the convening of the new Iraqi parliament."

    In response to a question on the reopening of the border crossings between the two countries, the Iraqi ambassador stressed "the importance of reopening these crossings to enhance trade exchange, which is currently being discussed by the two sides."

    He pointed out that "the opening of the crossings will lead to the recovery of economic and trade movement in the two countries, Iraq needs a lot of goods and goods, vegetables and fruits produced in Syria, and Iraqi businessmen have a real desire to enter the Syrian market." Finished
