Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday that the work of two consulates in two Iraqi provinces will resume within the next three months.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced Saturday his country's intention to open its consulate in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul, four years after the Da'ash organization seized control of it and its families.

"The two consulates in Mosul and Basra will resume their work within 100 days," Erdogan said during a meeting to discuss the government's projects,

and Ankara opened a large consulate in Mosul because of the importance of the region before it controls large areas of land in Iraq and Syria.
