World oil prices rose as the European market opened on Wednesday, with US crude continuing its third consecutive day of gains and Brent crude for the fifth day in a row, the highest level in a week, after a drop in expectations for US commercial inventories according to API data. Dealers later today released official data from the US Energy Agency.
By 06:30 GMT Green crude rose to $ 66.20 a barrel from the opening level $ 66.06, and recorded a high of 66.22 dollars, the lowest level of 65.97 dollars
Brent crude rose to $ 72.98 a barrel from the opening price of $ 72.80, recording a high of $ 73.01 a week higher, and a low of $ 72.67.
US crude added more than 0.9% in yesterday's second daily gain, and Brent crude <LCOc1> rose 1%, the fourth straight gain.
The gains were supported by expectations that the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) will drop production, especially after US sanctions have been imposed on Iran, in addition to reducing production to avoid oversupply.
