    announced that the Central Bureau of Statistics of the Ministry of Planning, Saturday, that the illiteracy rate among young people in Iraq stood at 8.3% in 2017

    "32.5 percent of young people aged 15 to 29 are now enrolled in education. The male enrollment rate is 35.9 percent, compared to 28.8 percent for young women," he said.
    The Ministry of Planning has announced in 2014 that the illiteracy rate in Iraq amounted to 18%, while noting that this proportion has increased between the events.
