    The head of the Finance Committee of the Basra Council Ahmed al-Sulaiti, Thursday, that the fire that lasted the building of the Office of the province caused the destruction and burning of important documents in the Finance and Planning, which contains documents and contracts may condemn the corrupt.
    Al-Sulaiti said in a press statement that "the fire lasted only the upper floor of the governorate building and neighboring caravans belonging to the Diwan."
    He added that "the top floor, which includes fire departments planning, finance and engineering and caused the destruction of many documents and important," noting that "these burning documents belong to the contract department and may condemn the corrupt if they are to be held accountable."
    "The burning of government buildings, especially with regard to important documents under the demands of the demonstrators to hold the corrupt."
    The largest number of demonstrators in Basra to set fire to the building of the Office of the province of Basra during their demonstrations, which began from the Arosa Square towards the local government.
