[rtl]Baghdad: Iraq renewed its rejection of the US embargo against Iran, condemning what he called the policy of starvation imposed on the peoples.
A statement by the Information Office of the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Hassan Karim al-Kaabi said that "the delegation of the Iraqi parliament headed by al-Kaabi met on Monday in the Swiss capital Geneva, the delegation of the Iranian Republic headed by the representative of Tehran in the Islamic Shura Council Fatima Hosseini, on the sidelines of the General Assembly 139 of the Inter-Parliamentary Union ".
Al-Kaabi and the current parliamentary delegation reiterated their total rejection of the American blockade in any way against the Iranian people, denouncing what he called the policy of starvation imposed on the peoples.
Al-Kaabi stressed the need to activate parliamentary friendship committees between the two countries to serve the interest of the two peoples, and discussed important files such as water and electricity and the expansion of economic activities to enhance the mutual relationship.
In turn, the Iranian delegation praised the formation of the Iraqi presidencies and the task of appointing the prime minister to form a government, stressing the keenness of the Islamic Republic to increase cooperation in fields of common interest, especially trade, economic and security against terrorism.
The Iranian delegation pointed out that we, as brotherly people with historical ties and ties, should not allow any American-Zionist project to separate the two peoples and move towards progress and enhance stability.
