    Minister of Planning Nouri Sabah al-Dulaimi signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) within the framework of joint technical cooperation with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) at the headquarters of the Committee in Beirut.

    In accordance with the MOU, the UN Committee will assess the impact of climate change, improve food security, and provide technical support in the areas of technology, statistics, transport, logistics and traffic safety, while ESCWA will provide its services to build a national index of multidimensional poverty, achieve financial sustainability and stimulate the labor market, Economic and political. 

    The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) will also contribute to the development of rural development, the impact of legislation and laws on development, women's empowerment and gender equality, the development of a pilot program on human reconstruction in liberated areas and support for decentralization; Sustainable development at the local level.
