Iranian and Iraqi interior ministers signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on bilateral security cooperation in Tehran on Sunday to organize a visit to Karbala.
The memo was signed by Interior Minister Abdul Ridha Rahmani Fadhli and his Iraqi counterpart Qassim al-Araji.
Araji arrived in Tehran yesterday to discuss bilateral and regional relations and sign a memorandum of understanding to organize the 40th visit.
On the issue of re-opening the Khosravi port, Al-Araji said, "Our position is positive with regard to the Iranian requests regarding the movement of visitors and the occasion of the fortieth."
"The objective of his visit is to improve the level of bilateral relations, exchange information and coordinate the issue of combating terrorism and enhancing border security," the Iraqi minister said
