Jumaili calls for amnesty for "ignorant criminals"[/rtl]

"We call on the House of Representatives to amend the amnesty law, especially the ninth article, which provides for the re-investigation and imitating the judiciary in order to get the innocent prisoners out," MP Jumaili said in a statement.
"We say and appeal to the religious authority that general amnesty is not an amnesty for innocents, but a general amnesty is to bring down the curtain to those who committed the crime with ignorance," she said.
"Today we demand amending the amnesty law so that innocent people can be released from prison," she said.
Al-Jumaili pointed out that "this is our demand from the House of Representatives and the National Security Council and the government and the Prime Minister is to amend the article IX of the law amnesty is the re-investigation and judicial trial and then speed up the issues and ask him also the Supreme Judicial Council to expedite the resolution of the cases of detainees" .
"It is not permissible to detain the accused for more than 72 hours and this is a constitutional article, and the detainee should not remain for years and then be released because of insufficient evidence," she said.
