Integrity seizes officials responsible for cultivating Khanaqin, for damaging public money

The Integrity Commission announced, on Thursday, that its owners in Diyala governorate were able to arrest two officials in the Khanaqin Agricultural Department, for having committed several violations, which resulted in damage to public money.
The authority said in a statement, which received / information / a copy of it, that “its staff in the Diyala investigation office managed to arrest the defendants (the director of Khanaqin Agriculture and his assistant) for committing a number of violations, represented by registering an agricultural contract for a plot of area of (50) dunums in the name of the accused brother The second is contrary to the regulations, renewal of an agricultural land contract with an area of (10) dunums belonging to the father of one of the accused (deceased), and transferring the contract in the name of the accused.
The statement added that "the violations included the second defendant, in cooperation with his brother who works (surveyor), to change the description of agricultural land to mountainous land located outside the municipal boundaries for the purpose of granting approvals for the establishment of a laboratory on it, in addition to the defendants concealing the complaint directed to the governor of Diyala regarding The charges of theft of agricultural pesticides, fertilizers and seeds attributed to employees of the Khanaqin Agricultural Department, as well as other violations that led to damage to public money.
And the commission stated that “a fundamental arrest record of the seizures was organized in the process that was carried out according to a judicial memorandum, and it was presented by the company of the accused to a judge of the Penal Court investigating the issue of integrity issues, who decided to arrest the accused in accordance with the provisions of Article (340) of the Penal Code.” Ended / 25
