On Monday, the deputy of the Iraqi Forces Alliance, Yahya al-Muhammadi, suggested that the parliamentary elections law be passed during the parliament session scheduled for today, indicating that the Legal Committee is awaiting the results of the agreements between the political and parliamentary blocs on the law in order to resolve its matter.
Al-Mohammadi said in a statement to "Information", that "the parliamentary elections law is likely to be passed during the parliament session scheduled for today, although the information on agreeing on the law is still vague."
He added that "the parliamentary legal committee is awaiting the results of the agreement between the political and parliamentary blocs on the aforementioned law, in order to vote on it, as there is a problem about the electoral system and the political blocs are supposed to dissolve it before the parliament session begins."
He explained that "the political blocs will settle the matter hours before the parliament session in order to submit the law to a vote, especially as the dispute revolves around the electoral districts in Articles 15 and 16 of the aforementioned law, but the cuff tends to pass the law in today's session." 25 n ended
