Shafaq News / Pentagon confirmed that Iran has sent a "small number of elements" to Iraq to help Maliki’s government to confront the rebels, pointing out that there is no indication to wide spread of military units. At a time Western diplomats said that the commander of the Quds Force went to Baghdad to provide advice to al-Maliki

    .
The ministry's spokesman, Admiral John Kirby said in a press conference, "There are a number of revolutionary elements, but we have no information about the presence of large units on the ground," referring apparently to al- Qods Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard

    .
During the occupation of Iraq from 2003 to 2011, the United States accused Iran of using al-Quds Force to support Shiite militias in Iraq. Kirby said that "the intervention in Iraq is not a new thing

    ."
The Pentagon did not mention any additional details about the nature of Iranians living in Iraq or their operations, while media reported that Tehran had begun efforts to support Iraqi forces

    .
Kirby said, "We will let the Iranians talk about their actions

    ."
He added, "We have information about the presence of certain elements inside Iraq," noting that this deployment includes "a small number" of elements

    .
Western diplomats said that the commander of al- Quds Force , Qassem Suleimani went to Baghdad to advise the Iraqi Prime Minister , Nuri al-Maliki in this crisis

    .
The United States announced at the beginning of the week that it is open to direct consultations with Iran about the attack of Islamist Sunni extremists, who threaten Iraq, with its rejection of any military cooperation with Tehran

    .
Washington announced that it would send 300 military advisers to Iraq, and has asked Iran to help Iraq in the form of not fueling tensions between Shiites and Sunnis

    .
However, the Deputy Foreign Minister , Hossein Amir Abdul Allahaan said that President , Barack Obama lacks " serious will " to fight terrorism. " as The recent statements by Obama is an evidence that the White House does not possess the will to serious fight against terrorism in Iraq and in the region
